Certified translation in Israel

A certified translation is a complete and faithful translation of an official document, accompanied by a signed statement confirming its accuracy. It is what most authorities, universities and employers ask for when a document is not in their language.

We translate the whole document, including stamps, signatures, handwritten notes and marginal text, and we reproduce the layout so the reader can compare it with the original line by line.

Before we begin, we check who will receive the translation. Some offices accept a translator's certificate; others, such as many Israeli government offices and foreign consulates, require a notarized translation. If that is your case, we will tell you and arrange it.

Questions people ask

Is a certified translation the same as a notarized translation?

No. A certified translation carries the translator's signed statement of accuracy. In Israel, a notarized translation is certified by a licensed notary who knows both languages, and it is often required by government offices and for documents going abroad. We arrange both.

Do you need the original document?

For most translations a clear scan or photo is enough. If the translation must be bound to the original or to a certified copy, we will tell you before starting.

How long does it take?

Standard documents such as certificates are usually ready in two to four business days. Urgent service is available on request.
