Notarized translation in Israel

In Israel, a notary who is proficient in both languages can certify that a translation is accurate. This notarized translation is often the version that ministries, courts, banks and foreign consulates will accept.

We prepare the translation and coordinate the certification with licensed Israeli notaries who work in the relevant language pair. The notarial certificate is bound to the translation and to the original or a copy of it.

If the document is going abroad, a notarized translation can then receive an apostille, or go through consular legalization for countries outside the Hague Convention. We can take care of the full sequence.

Questions people ask

Why does the office ask for a notarized translation and not a regular one?

Many Israeli and foreign authorities only accept translations whose accuracy is certified by a notary. The notary's certificate gives the translation official standing.

Can a notarized translation receive an apostille?

Yes. A notarized Israeli translation can be apostilled for use in any country that is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention.

Are notary fees regulated in Israel?

Yes, Israeli notary fees are set by regulation, which keeps that part of the cost predictable. Our quote shows the full price before you confirm.
